Activity description
Enjoy a 4x4 excursion led by expert local guides through the public areas of the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park and its surroundings, with the goal of observing the Iberian lynx.
During the tour, your guide will explain the characteristics of their habitat, as well as aspects of their biology and behavior, and you will follow specific routes and wait at common observation sites.
You'll also be able to learn about some of the conservation efforts that have been carried out in the area to recover populations of this endangered species.
The activity takes place in the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park and its surroundings, in the province of Jaén, and the itinerary and waiting areas will depend on the latest sightings and other species you wish to observe during the day.
The Iberian lynx population center in the Sierra de Andújar Natural Park currently has just over 200 Iberian lynx specimens, making it one of the best places to observe them in the world.
During the tour, it is also possible to observe a multitude of species of mammals and birds, as well as reptiles and amphibians depending on the time of year.
In addition, we will try to show you any footprints, tracks, or areas we have previously located that indicate the presence of the Iberian lynx.
Let your guide recommend you; the experience and information you gain about sightings each day will make your visit much more successful.
